Isn't a "380" just a short version of a 9mm round?

Looking at this picture, it appears that only '.380' is stamped on the
barrel. Does yours have both
calibers stamped on the barrel? I don't think I've ever seen that.

However, this picture does show "9mm kurz/.380 ACP" 'Kurz' is German
for 'short', so that's where

Mine has both calibers stamped on the barrel, but obviously the only
thing in common with a .9mm regular is it's diameter.

I bought mine new .... it was manufactured in August of 2012, so the
issue involved in the recall had been fixed.
Now that I have become more familiar with it, I like it. It's not a
"lightweight" by any means and I like the feel of it in my hand.
The smaller ones are just too small for me to feel comfortable with.

The Walther PPK and it's variants is an old design. It was first made
in 1929. Hitler supposedly used one when he committed suicide in the
bunker, but it is known more as being James Bond's personal handgun
choice.
