That's too big and heavy for a concealed carry gun in my opinion, and
for home defense you're probably better off with a revolver for
reasons of safety, simplicity and reliability.

For concealed carry I'd probably get something small and lightweight
like the Kel-Tec P-11 9mm sub compact or the S&W titanium 38 special
revolver with a 2 inch barrel. I know a guy who manages a gun store
in Ft Myers who could have any concealed carry gun he wanted. His
choice is the Kel Tec in a pocket holster.

I won't be doing much concealed carry, except maybe in the glove box. I want a full size pistol, not
a compact.
