innocent until proven guilty in the USA.

You're careful, so I presume you will appreciate knowing the phrase,
correctly used, is "innocent *unless* proven guilty." "Unless" is an
entirely different word than "until." *Until" implies an act is going to
happen. *Unless* does not.
