Most interesting, the chart shows the homicide rate in this country at
least three to four times the rate of most other so-called civilized
western countries. I wonder why that is.

They don't have a drug war or the ethnic mix we have. We have a higher
murder rate with blunt instruments than most countries have murder,
all weapons. Finland is an exception tho.

It is interesting that suicide by gun is usually close to being tried
with murder. When you look at other countries suicide rates the
numbers start closing.


Certain "drugs" are a contributing factor, but I think the core causes
can be found in the fact that we are a violent society, we accept
violence as a way to settle disputes, we like violence in our major
sport (pro football), we have politicians who like to stir up hatred.
