Up here they finally put a cap on the age of Senerators appointed by the govt in power. They have to retire at age 75..where previously it was a term for life.
In our system, the Senate is supposed to be a body of sober second thought, but in reality just an expensive big rubber stamp.


We need to repeal the 17th amendment to resolve the problem of
"lifetime" Senators in the US.
