If Harry was as big an ass then as he is now, he'd have been hit even
by an Air Force marksman. :-)
The only time I was shot was by an Air Force marksman. Hit by a ricochet
during the annual qualifying that was required. We were using pistols and
a round must have hit the frame, and hit me in the leg as I sat behind the
firing line.

Not combat. Was at the Novato, CA police range. Where the AF used
pistols, as opposed to the base range with rifles. Hamilton AFB. I fixed
radios and radars. Was at both Hamilton and Travis, about 40 miles apart,
