My chain saw wants a 40/1 mix. My blower wants a 50/1. Rather than

that be safe?

I would say yes but consult your owners manualoand call your
manufacturers, and check with a small engine shop, and google your
query. You'll be surprised at the number of different answers you get.

Not gonna' endorse anything here but I will tell you this. We run a
product called "32 to 1" by Spectro

http://www.spectro-oils.com/golden-sx-321-semi-synthetic-pre-mix/

in everything, reguardless of the mix called for. This includes all of
my blowers, and lawn gear, right down to our favorite two smoke race
engines... Lot's of our peers run it too.

We have had no negative experiences nor has anybody else I know, your
results may vary...

I used to used Amsoil Synthetic in the 440 Free Air Arctic Cat
Snowsled I had. 50 to 1

40 to 1 in the old Skidoos.....
