Question for two-stroke experts
In article ,
says...
My chain saw wants a 40/1 mix. My blower wants a 50/1. Rather than have another gas can sitting
around, I'm thinking of making a 45/1 mix and using it for both. Will that be safe?
That's fine. Nobody get real close to those ratios anyway, unless they
use fine scales to measure both gas and oil, or get lucky.
10 points is close enough.
Every time I've mixed I had no real idea I had an exact gallon, or if a
quarter ounce of oil was still clinging to the insides of the oil
container. Or if the oil container had exactly what was marked on it.
Just go with the flow.
I use the same mix for a 32:1 and a 50:1. About 40.
Neither engine has complained in years and years.
Up to you.
