Winterized the boat and had the marina yank it last week. Beautiful

weekend to work on a boat but a shame...end of season. what a nice

year it was...and 6 months to Spring!

I'm not ready. In fact, it's going to be 83 degrees today, and
I'm taking the afternoon off to go out on the lake. When we come
back in this evening, I'll have to tie back up in a different slip
so the entire dock we're on can be replaced in November.

I'm not ready either. But...the leaves have started their merry
trip to earth, and I've not even

gotten a good start on the bumper crop of acorns we had this year.

Don't ever buy a house with twelve big oak trees thereon.

Too late... we have nothing but 90 foot tall oaks. Huge acorns.
But our leaves are just now starting to get some color. Squirrels
are going "nuts" right now. I bought one of these a couple years
ago... worth every penny.

I bought one of these 13 years ago and I haven't had to do anything with
leaves but run over them with it.

When my leaves are at full-tilt, I'd have to use that every other day,
and the bag would have to be emptied 20 times. My riding mower, with
the two huge bags, is useless after 4-5 days.

Fortunately, I have a huge natural area in the back that I can blow
the leaves into.

Holy crap. I have three bags on the back of mine and I have to empty
them with each pass across the yard. If I used it for leaves I would
have to empty it 40 times or more to clean leaves

Oh, and with the red oaks I have here, I would have to do it all again
tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day..... etc, etc, etc...
