I like all sorts of boats, I like hiking, fishing, camping outdoors in a
tent, I like bicycling, I like travel, I like collecting and shooting
firearms, I like old cars, especially crappy, hopeless old English sports
cars from the 1950s and early 1960s.
I don't like politics. I don't like insulting people, especially people I
don't know and probably will never meet, I don't like arguing for the
sake of argument, I don't like ganging up on other posters, I don't like
nasty language.
I have the feeling I have chosen the wrong group in which to waste a
little free time. I haven't done a survey and I won't, but my gut tells
me that about 90% of the posts in here are attacks on other posters, on
politicians, on where one stands in the political spectrums.
Is that the fun part?
What's your point?
That attacks on or insults of other posters seem to be the fun here rather
than friendly discussions.
You can thank Harry Krause for trying to set that tone 15 years ago.
It's been an ongoing effort but it really didn't take hold till about
five years ago. As was pointed out to you a while ago, there are sailing
and paddling groups that might suit you better, unless, of course you
are an anonymous troll who likes to stir up rec.boats.
