You have a good point there, Wayne. That's why I have several is
various styles and a wide range of calibers. But within reasonable
range I like a .45. It seems that "one shot cures all'

Way to big for concealed carry but OK for store/shop/home defense. I
know some guys who do target practice/competition with 45s but it gets
pricey if you shoot a lot unless you are a reloader. Personally I
prefer a 22 for target practice. You can shoot one all afternoon for
five or ten bucks worth of ammo, and a with a lot less pain and
strain that a 45/9mm/40/38/357 etc.
