They took 3 swings at a voice vote and the plank was shouted down 3
times. In the end they finally just declared victory and ignored the
boos.

I wonder why alleged Christians are so adamant that everyone should
believe what they believe even though there's no real proof of the
existence of God?

I don't really have a dog in this fight, I am voting for Gary Johnson
but I am amused by the process.

That series of votes is a ready made GOP ad that they can aim at the
Latinos and black evangelists without much comment at all.
In spite of what you say, there are still a lot of people who do
believe in god and most are in the current target demographic.
Making fun of their core beliefs is not a good way to get their vote.

On some issues, I do take a liberal stance. I'll tell you, though, I'm
really glad that I'm able to think clearly and see the big picture
instead of just believing what every right wing talking head says to
believe.
