Maybe not. One provision of that law is that it must be associated with interstate commerce. Email qualifies because it's a business tool, but I wouldn't think usenet does.


Yes, you are correct. That's the difference between what Slammer is
doing and what harry and don did when they sent information through
email for the purpose of intimidation, that is a felony in the US, don't
know what they call it up there.
