Any marine plumbing experts here?

I'm in the middle of a small plumbing job involving the salt water
cooling loop for the air conditioning units. *I'm planning to use PTFE
(teflon) tape on the pipe threads. * Are there any issues with that as
opposed to using joint compound goop that anyone knows of?

I'm no expert on plumbing, but I can't see any reason why the tape
shouldn't work, Wayne.

That stuff gets used on PCV on lots more than mere salt condition. If
no one else can give you a comprehensive reply, I'll be talking to my
friend who is a 26 year veteran licensed plumber in the morning and
get an answer for you.
