Sometimes less complicated is better.
I have seen them but it is a router sized box on both ends and they
are $350-400 a pair. I will go with the $10 powered cable, thanks.
With my experience with wireless in a CBS house, I am not even sure it
would work for me out in the pool bar.
My plan is the powered cable with a blue tooth transmitter on the end
and a blue tooth wireless pointing device/numeric pad.
That is 30' line of sight that will work from the corner of the house.
Another powered cable and a B/T transmitter at the other end of the
house should take care of those rooms. I don't have any block walls
between them.
You can daisy change wireless access points.
The powered cables can be daisy chained (up to 5)
Such complexity. I prefer the hard-wired approach, with wi fi as an
option. No line of sight problems, no expensive wireless USB silliness.
I can reach the four printers and two scanners in the house via my iMac,
iPhone and iPad, and my wife can do the same with her Windoze.

I'm a liberal because the militant fundamentalist ignorant
science-denying religious xenophobic corporate oligarchy of modern
Republican conservatism just doesn't work for me or my country.
