Oh, really? I used to blow up stuff on the sandbars at low tide with
cherry bombs. The difference is, it would never occur to me to blow up

That is why I think it is more important to have crazy person control
than weapon control.
A crazy person will always find a weapon.
Do you know how difficult it is to "control" those you are calling
"crazy people"? How would you do it? It is not a trivial task, nor
should it be, to even commit someone for a three day psych evaluation.
Absent such an evaluation, what is your plan?
Half the time, those doing the evaluations are nuttier than the patients.
