Plus, an anecdote from FaceBook…and it sure rings true. I don't know the
author.

"I was walking behind a couple in a BJs Club. The Dad had a mullet and a
confederate flag t-shirt on. They both smelled like they lived in an ash
tray. They had three kids with them. One of their little boys went
directly to the book section of the store. The Dad started yelling at
him to, "Get your F'ing ass back here." Then turned to the woman with
him and said, "I'm so F'ing sick of him having his GD nose in a book
every time I turn around. I ain't raising no pansy ass book-reading
p*ssy!" When the boy begrudgingly came back to them, his Dad slapped him
across the back (TOO hard for my taste) and redirected him to the
electronic aisle with his siblings....to "Go watch tv with your brother
and sister while we shop. If I find you over there reading a book, I'll
bust your ass."

I was at a local grocery store second behind a guy with a cart full
with items. The cashier was scanning items and the guy stopped her and
said go ahead and total that up. She did, and he swiped his food stamp card.
The cashier continued scanning items until he told her to total it
again. The customer then swiped a second food stamp card. The cashier
continued scanning items until the only items left on the conveyer were
two gallon containers of milk. He told the cashier he didn't want to get
the milk, he then swiped the third food stamp card. At that point
he told the cashier he wanted a carton of certain brand of cigarettes.
He paid for those with cash.
I don't know how food stamps work, but I don't think he should have
had three food stamp cards. It's also not right that he didn't get milk
for the kids but did find cash for his cigarettes.
I doubt he was right-wing though.

This doesn't ring true, it is true, I watched it happen. You can imagine
the conversation the taxpayers in line had during his checkout and after
he left.
