I have a 1976 Cobia with the omc straight six. I repalced the plugs,
fixed the fuel line at the tank that was worn, I got the motor running,
but when i give it gas it dies unless i really ease into the throttle
then it will run the rpm's up.
What could be the problem?

Sounds like the accelerator pump.
