The atheists and agnostics all got religious on days like this at sea. :-)

I took this picture of the fantail on one of the ships I was stationed
on during my
days in the Navy. (USS Lester) The hut and reel with what looks like a
black hose was actually
a passive sonar system that was towed behind the ship listening for
Soviet subs.

Note the stern light. Gives an idea of the wave size.
