Aside from their funky look, Crocs are very practical footwear at the
beach or in the dinghy. They do tend to trap sand but it is easy to
remove by sloshing your feet around in the water.
I was more thinking about walking around on the campground itself.
This is just going to be a coral rock desert, not a watery place. It
is not really sand, more like "87" gravel made up of petrified shell
fragments.
I have all sorts of footwear for use on land. My concern was for foot
protection in the waters of the Keys where sandy beaches are non existent.
