Finally getting the boat back this Friday. *It's been at the dealer getting its spring service and having the 'toons pressure washed, then it went to the upholstery shop for a new cover. *Dang, that Sunbrella is expensive!
Interior cleanup day is Saturday, then back in the water for a nice day on the water Sunday. *Forecast is for high 70's and sunny. *Can't wait!
Good! *Hope you *can have a good and trouble free season!
BTW, I thought your opening title was a call to turn this place back
into a boating forum.
oh well.....
I don't have a tow vehicle, but have easy access to borrow one (company fleet). *I'm driving loaded Suburban today, nice, but wow! *The gas guage seems to be moving visibly when it's going down the road. *I sure wouldn't want one for everyday.
No use wasting my breath trying to change this place.
Hope you have a good one, Tim!
Hey, I know what you mean about the gas gauge moving the different
direction of the speedometer. and simultaneously too!
My tow vehicle is an old 1990 Mercury station wagon w/ a 302 (5.0). it
does the job. but will use a half a tank in 60 miles pulling the 23'
Marquis.
I put gas in the Suburban, and picked up the boat at lunch. I swear it used an 1/8th of a tanks in a 12 mile round-trip! At least I don't have to feed that thing every day.
On the positive side, I'm really happy with the new cover. It looks better than factory, and with some care should last more than twice as long. The last cover I had made was pretty crappy looking, but this guy I found now does first class work, and is fast, too. He's definitely a keeper for cover and upholstery work.
