Sea Ray makes outboards???

There is a smaller (18 foot) used Sea Ray for sale across from a
restaurant that I go to, so the other night I took a look at it. It's
an outboard model, and I was surprised that the white outboard was not
a Johnson, but was of Sea Ray brand (white, with Sea Ray logos). I
did not know Sea Ray was ever in the outboard motor business. Are
these Sea Ray outboards Mercurys in disguise? (ie. the Brunswick
vertical manufacturing arrangement)
The engine you've got is a Mercury.
