Skip,
I'm sure you'll be out there again soon! I think I may have seen the other
photos at the post office........;-}
Take care, MMC.

Most of you know that I had my final ski on the morning of my surgery two
weeks ago, and that I had video of it from the dock and also a 2-story
location.

I've captured some frames from that and added them to my gallery at
http://tinyurl.com/3hjtb in case you're interested in seeing what the last
ski run of a 60 year old looks like :{))

It's all frame captures from video on a very long lens and a very flat
light, so they're not the very best, but they capture the essence of my

joy
in the process :{))

Other skiing pictures can be had by clicking on the list at the top and
backing up the directory tree. I'm going to be capturing some frames of a
similar video we did on one of my ski buddies' 12 year old daughter on her
4th run ever on a ski (never on two). She's hugely talented, and may get

to
go to Coble Ski school if her interest continues. Look for those in the
guestki folder.

For those interested, thanks for your prayers and well-wishes. I had my
post-op appointment this morning. To tell you how well it's going would
sound bragodocious, so it suffices to say I'm pleased and the doctors are
amazed. At this rate, I may yet ski again before we cast off, but I'm

going
to do *nothing* which will jeapordize that, so that remains to be seen.

In
the meantime, enjoy the snaps http://tinyurl.com/3hjtb :{))

"And then again, when you sit at the helm of your little ship on a
clear night, and gaze at the countless stars overhead, and realize
that you are quite alone on a great, wide sea, it is apt to occur to
you that in the general scheme of things you are merely an
insignificant speck on the surface of the ocean; and are not nearly
so important or as self-sufficient as you thought you were. Which is
an exceedingly wholesome thought, and one that may effect a
permanent change in your deportment that will be greatly appreciated
by your friends." - James S. Pitkin
