Went down to Cape Breton to visit the Highlands National Park.and do a
bit of 'leaf peeping'. This is a big year...the National Park system
is celebrating it's 100th year and Nova Scotia just received it's 3rd
National Park.
Hiked out on the Sykline Trail for the first time by myself ...mindful
of the warnings about bears, rutting moose and coyote packs.
Stunning in the mid fall..

Next time, carry meat in your pockets.. Nobody cares about your ****ing
slum and the cornhole parks full of drunken crackheads...

Actually the parks are rather clean and the Skyline Trail on Cape
Breton Island is a beautiful hike that overlaps the Old Cabot Trail.
Many an interesting sight to see, especially the beauty of the leaves
this time of year.

However it is bloody hell if caught in a rain storm this time of
year. One needs a warm waterproof shed jacket and excellent footwear.
Some of the trails turn to mud quite easily.
