Didn't you tell us that you& Terry ran around Europe when you first
met?
Bet Inky was paying for that "summer vacation".

I'll be farmer's would be out there in droves if the government cut
off their subidies. There's be a ****load of tractor drivers out in
the streets.
Not as much as you think. Just raise prices.
Then more fleabaggers starve and more social unrest.
Subsidizing food is more political than economics. Another way of
foreign aid actually. Makes it easier for a $3000/year African to
afford to buy it and thus a political lever to control people outside of
the borders for political imperialism. Food as a weapon if you will.
Why do you think they other nations are really protesting about? It
sure isn't democracy. It is survival. $3000/yr and 60% or more goes to
food. 10% inflation from Bernanke money print means they come up short
when they buy food. That is why you stand in-front of an American made
war machine of installed dictators as you have so little to loose.
Hazards of mismanagement of the worlds reserve currency, and why it and
he USA is failing. Just too much government and US Fed cureency and
corruption for the world to choke down.
For me, if my bread goes from $4 loaf to $5, I might not even notice.
But for most of the world, they notice. Just picked up a long strip of
rib-eye (24 pounds), I eat well tonight, so I don't protest.
But Americans have a big fat huge wealth consuming government they can't
afford.

Eat the rich, screw the companies and wonder why there are no jobs. But
