I can not think of a better source of
information than the Armdale YC in
Halifax. I stayed at this club for 2 extended visits in 2002 and
the members could not do enough to help out with info and just
about everything else. If there are bareboat services in the
province, the people at AYC will know about them.

Armond...I thought a sailor of your means would do his docking at
the Royal NS Yacht Squadron. :-)
Actually a lot of people say I'm pretty mean, but I don't think that's what
you meant.
Short RNSYS story. I was staying at Armdale and I needed ice but they had
none at the Club. I motored down the Northwest Arm to the Squadron and
purchased some ice, and then returned to my mooring. Later in the afternoon
I bumped into the AYC commodore and he mentioned something about the ice
situation. I told him not to worry, since the atmosphere at the Squadron
was so frosty that I figured my ice would never melt.
BTW apologies to all concerned about my feeble humor. I am exaggerating
quite a bit. I have always had excellent service and courtesy at every stop
in Nova Scotia during the 20 years I have been visiting..
