Columbus Day is coming up…let's celebrate by walking into someone's
house and telling them we live there now!

Why? Are you expecting a repo notice?

Can't get me, I owe zero.

Wherever you were, you should have stayed.

Columbus Day reminds me of what followed Columbus: genocide, racism,
destruction of the environment, imperialism, destruction of indigenous
cultures, massacres on religious grounds.

After paying off my residence in the early 90s, I vowed no more need for
debt in my life. That is how you become rich, you stop payng other
people for money.

Take a run of the mill credit card. Say your a perpetual debt junky and
have $10,000 on the credit card month to month because you want to feed
that envy and selfish needs for stuff right now. $225/mo in fees over
40 years is a lot of cash. If you put $225 a month into a ROTH,
invested it at average yield of 6%, in 40 years you would ahve over
$400K of tax paid cash.

So by being greedy and myopically selfish in denial of reality, your
unpaid balances of just $10K on the credit card is a $400K+ bonus you
gave to the bank in a 40 year work career.

People don't think about debt, just their greed and ways to deny reality.
