There is good availability of services in Alamitos Bay by dinghy and
walking. There is even a big supermarket with dinghy access. Restaurants
and movies theatres accessible. West Marine by dinghy. Far better than most
marinas. Schooner or Later is one of the best breakfast sites I know of.

There is also lots of free anchorage in Long Beach Harbor. A little rolly
sometimes but not bad. Not convenient to the shops though.

" SFWIW, there is a FREE shuttle bus that services both Shoreline and
Alamitos
Bay.

Provides free shuttle service through out downtown Long Beach which gives
you access to supermarkets as well as some other neat things.
