It isn't reasonable to "mock Christianity," as you put it, because of
the WBC, but what about the actions of Jeffress, his flock, and those
Baptist Christians who are as bigoted as he is? Is that sort of
behavior
"Christian"?

I'll believe corporations are people when Texas executes one.
What about 'em?
"Is that sort of behavior "Christian"?"
Well, you tell me....
Just because they say they are............
That's a problem, isn't it? So many of many religions claim to consist
of true believers and followers, but what they stand for is hate.
My feeling is that if you are part of the "Values Voters" conference
sponsored by the Family Research Council, you parted ways with
Christianity a long time ago. Those folks hide under the banner of
their
religion to spread hate.
I don't see how it is possible to be a social conservative and a
follower of the teachings of Jesus.
Well Harry, why don't you tell us all about the teachings of Jesus..
Then tell us about "Jesus on a stick at *Christmas* again, and while
your are googling, go ahead and tell us why Tim *can't* answer your
questions. go ahead, I will wait.
People of intelligence can, with good manners, debate whether
churches/mosques/synagogues are doing good or doing evil.
Obviously you didn't read your own question, I didn't read the rest of
your spew.... So Harry, tell us "why Tim *can't" answer your question? [
Is that sort of behavior "Christian"?]
When you can answer that, then we will talk... Until then, you are just
trolling and calling names... Really, the answer to my question is easy,
for anybody who understands ever the most subtle ideas of Christianity...
Oh, I am sure Tim can, if he wishes, respond to a question as to whether
a particular bit of ugly behavior in the name of Christianity is
Christian. Getting up in front of a group of conservative Christians, as
Jeffress did, and casting aspersions on a candidate for the GOP
presidential nomination because he is a "Mormon," and therefore part of
a cult, is not very Christian. One can only imagine what Jeffress would
have said if Romney were Jewish.
Oh, wait...Jesus was Jewish. Well, that presents a problem. :)
For the record, I don't believe you have any knowledge, subtle or
otherwise, of anything that requires intellectual exercise.
