That depends on where you are. It is true in Florida or any other
right to work state but if you are in one of those mobbed up union
states up north, trying to hire someone who is not blessed by the
union will get the job shut down, legally or illegally.
Davis Bacon will be a problem too because the "prevailing wage" will
be pegged at whatever the union says it is.
Prevailing wages are published and known.
Yes they are, The union provides them in a union state.
That still does not address the jurisdictional issue. The union will
tell the GC who they have to hire ... unless they want to get
struck.
