If you are partial to islands... you can't do any better than this!
http://www.cbisland.com/

Yes you can. Someplace warm comes to mind.

Yep, agreed. *Airfare to Nova Scotia isn't cheap, HST is a tax gouge,
booze is insane priced, cold as hell this time of year.

Costa Rica is cheaper, warmer and more things to do.

So in the hole, why do we insanely want more debt?

"Cold as hell this time of year"??
When was the last time you were here? *70F today.

Weather is too unpredictable up there in the tundra. 70 today could be
30 tomorrow.- Hide quoted text -

No country for girliemen... that's for sure!

Or Girly girls. *The only people who have swim trunks or bikinis in NS
also fly to the Caribbean or central America.

Man.. you'd better travel a bit more in your own country... whichever
one it is.
The other day the weather service was claiming that the west coast of
Cape Breton had the highest temperature in all of Canada for that day.
On the north shore of Nova Scotia they claim that the water is the
warmest north of the Carolinas. *(Northumberland Strait rather than
open Atlantic Ocean)

So for one or two days a year it makes NS a tourist destination? *Petty
much like northern coastal Scotland, rocky, damp and cool.

I'm a lot farther south than you, Canuckles.

True, but at least I get a few more weeks of summer. *And being dry, the
cold doesn't seem to penetrate as much.

You do realize that Nova Scotia has the warmest average temperatures
of any province in Canada?

That's not saying much. You do realize that it's just because the water
moderates the temps in the winter don't you? Many many places in Canada
have higher summer temps.

Warmest winter places in Canada are British Columbia: Victoria,
Vancouver and Abbotsford, NS isn't even close. *In the winter, not one
NS city is in the top 10 Canadian cities.

Regina holds the big city temp record for summer, 43.3C July 5, 1937.
Midale and Yellow Grass, SK holds the 1937 record at 45C. * If you want
summer heat, Saskatchewan is the place to go followed by parts of
Manitoba. *South eastern Ontario is warmer than NS. *Windsor for
example, over 20 days a year over 30C average.

The interior of Newfoundland is generally warmer in summer than Nova Scotia.

Don't make NS sound like a beach resort summer vacation spot. *It isn't.

Duh!
They average out the entire provinces temperatures.... we have nothing
drastic... the whole province is temperate.
Anyway...who wants hot summers?? I'd be happy with sun and temps in
the mid to high 70's

Most fat people don't like warm temps.
