Default Great Pre-hurricane day at Lake Anna

I suppose most folks were getting ready for Hurricane Irene on Friday, but Renee and I decided the
day would be best spent at Lake Anna with her boys. So I hitched up the boat for the 145 mile round
trip. Going down wasn't bad. I-95 south isn't bad at 7:30 AM. Coming home took over two hours.

Of course, as there was much concern here about the nuclear plant, I decided to check it out.
Everything appeared to be OK, although Renee mentioned something about the boys glowing a little
when they went to bed. Of course, I had to be somewhat stealthy with my photography. Didn't want any
black helicopters tracking me down.

After a little searching among some of the islands in the lake, we found a new 'boater's beach'
which the boys liked:

Renee just had to have an Opa shot with the boys. Eldest grandson is getting on up there.

This beach has a lot more room than the last one we found, but another boater says it gets crowded
as hell on the weekends. The island is privately owned by someone, as is all the land except the
state park. Luckily, the owner doesn't mind people beaching their boats and enjoying themselves.

What was the best part of the day? Just ask Ethan!
