So, basically, you're not a Christian and you don't understand Jesus'

I'm not a Christian, but I understand and appreciate many of the
teachings attributed to Jesus. What I don't understand are the millions
of hate-filled righties who claim to be Christians and yet ignore their
professed spiritual leader's most significant teachings. We have a
number of what I would call Christians in Name Only (CINO) types right
in this newsgroup.

What are Jesus' "most significant teachings?"

Read the Sermon on the Mount and the parable about the Good Samaritan.
You know, the thoughts of your spiritual leader most of you CINO's ignore.
