The USPS is profitable.
The Republican Congress wrote a law in 2006 requiring the PO to pre-fund
retirement programs like no other gov agency or private business.
The gov basically owes the USPS about $75 billion in overpayments, and
the USPS is still overpaying +$5 billion a year, only making it look
like it isn't profitable.
And like Abner said, the USPS is constitutionally mandated.
BTW, UPS is a Teamster operation, and the USPS is also unionized.
But you can always use FedEx or hire a bicycle courier if you're anti-
union.
You actually believe that a nutcase like this cares about actual
facts??? LOL
Are you going to try to say that the USPS isn't in the red???
It has the GM problem. It is a health care and pension company that
delivers packages on the side.
That's a very simple answer that is totally inaccurate for a complex
problem.
