Too bad Apple is keeping most of their cash in China (a fact)

Maybe if we didn't have such an abusive corporate tax rate they would
repatriate some of that money and perhaps, make something here.

Funny, I don't blame them. A iPad made in China and sold in China is
supposed to pay DC income tax?

Maybe China should impose a 5% currency loss taxes on US....

Hear yourself think? Look GE, putting $2B into China, moving its medial
where the profits are. Makes sense.

You backwards fleabeggars need to know the universe does not rotate
around USA. Who knows, maybe Apple will pick up sticks and move to
China. All USA has to offer is just more debt and debt-taxation.

Which is really why jobs suck, not a good environment.

Apple already does virtually all of it's manufacturing and assembly in
China and they do most of the markup there so they do not look that
profitable when they are sold here. The answer would be to tax these
products coming into the country at the same rate China taxes our
products going into their country.

Yep. And Americans pay the taxes. In a way you just made a case not to
tax companies but to tax consumption. The same argument many a VAT or
sales taxes types profess.

No reason for an Apple product made in China sold in China should pay US
taxes.

We give China unreasonable breaks and then wonder why they are winning
the trade war.

Not entirely accurate. US culture is now lazy, lethargic, mentally lazy
entitlement types and falling behind. People don't want work, they want
welfare.

Mind you there are those working hard and cleaning up. Operative word,
work.

FACT: I bought a disk enclosure on Ebay that ended up coming from
China. Total cost including shipping was $2.30 and came air mail USPS.
I just mailed a pair of sunglasses to my daughter 150 miles away in
West Palm, it cost $1.79 USPS. Both boxes weighted about the same
(3.5-4 oz rate). Assuming the part was 30 cents, how can you ship
something half way around the world for virtually the same price as
it costs to ship across a skinny state?

US costs and wages are too high. Outside of US, everything is cheaper,
capital costs, wages, taxes, utilities, materials....

Taxation for example is a multiplier of over valuation. $200/hr to
clean teeth, government gets 1/2, doubles the cost of life.
Necessitating inflated wages.

I sent a camera to China last year and the price was about the same as
sending it to Australia (close to $80). If I got the same box from
China it would be cheaper than sending it to Miami.
Why is that?

Seems like paying your bills with real money is no longer the accepted
behavior in USA. Perhaps that is the problem and not the the solution.
