Whomever of you thought Tim McVeigh couldn't exist in Norway...

The 32-year-old Norwegian man who allegedly went on a shooting
spree
on the island of Utoya has been identified as Anders Behring
Breivik,
according to multiple reports.

The Daily Mail and Sky News were among those to report the
suspect's
name. According to witnesses, the gunman was dressed as a police
officer and gunned down young people as they ran for their lives
at a
youth camp.

Police said Friday evening that they've linked the youth camp
shooting
and Oslo bombing. Breivik is believed to have acted alone.

Norwegian TV2 reports that Breivik belongs to "right-wing
circles" in
Oslo. Swedish news site Expressen adds that he has been known to
write
to right-wing forums in Norway, is a self-described nationalist and
has also written a number of posts critical of Islam.

A Twitter account for Breivik has surfaced, though it only has one
post, this quote from philosopher John Stuart Mill: "One person
with a
belief is equal to the force of 100 000 who have only interests."
The
tweet was posted on July 17.

On a Facebook account that Norwegian media outlets have
attributed to
Breivik, he describes himself as having Christian, conservative
views.
He says he enjoys hunting, the games World of Warcraft and Modern
Warfare 2, and lives in Oslo. He also lists political analysis and
stock analysis as interests.

I see this monster being labled "Conservative" to smear by
association
anyone, in the US that adhears to the Constiution and the Republic
and
American values.
This monster is being called a neo Nazi or Nazi. You aren't a
Conservative of any stripe if you are a Nazi or neo Nazi.
The terms Conservative and Nazi are not kindred or interchangeable.
Conservative Americans fought the Nazis. Liberal american fought the
Nazis. Communists partnered with Hitler for a while.
That monster is not Conservative.

I don't think he's "conservative" either but he does share a common
bond with American "conservatives" who are anti-immigration,
anti-Muslim and consider themselves Christian.

Please explain this.

I have lived in Norway in the early 80's. You couldn't drag me back
there. Great place to visit, crappy place to live. So socialist you
might as well just accept being a sheep in a barn. For some that could
be hard to accept.

I could see a non-Muslim/non-Islam anti-government group starting up
there. I could also see the Islamic fanatics doing it too. But Islam
tends to be more group-conspiracy based thus easier to stop.

Isn't to say I support them, I do not. Violence like this is
intolerable. Simple answer for such individuals seeking more
freedom is
to emigrate from the socialist tax me silly nations. Let the socialist
pay the socialist bills. Or perhaps I am more passive and non-violent
about it.

D'oh. I've been to Norway, too, and I have friends -Norwegians- who
live there. It's a terrific place to live, with the highest standard
of living in the world and the coveted last place in the Failed States
Index of Foreign Policy Magazine. In other words, it is the most
well-functioning and stable country in the world.

Norway uses its assets to enrich the lives of all its people.

Except the assets belong to the people. Go there if you like socialism
so much..

He should, I didn't just visit, I lived there. Very economically
repressive place.

Economically repressive? With a much higher standard of living than most
other countries? Virtually no homeless? Access to good medical care for
everyone? Low or no cost higher education for most students? Retraining
for workers injured out of or pushed out of jobs? Good housing for
everyone?

Yeah, that's repressive.

You should try living there to find out what I mean.

You obviously never lived there. I'm sure you're an expert about cheap
beer though.

I imagine a pint at the pub is about $10 to $12 by now. Gas would be
about $10 a gallon. I never forgot the first thing I bought, a pop from
the machine in coroner. Coin looked cheap tin but when I did the math
it was the last coke I bought from a machine. Some stuff was priced
just silly stupid.

Great fjords though. Glad I went but gets dry after a year.

The stuff that was "priced just silly stupid" whatever that means
matches your own stupidity quite well.

Slavery comes in many forms. You don't have to be black to understand
that. Did you know where confederates got their slaves? In Africa when
one tribe conquered another, the losers became slaves. With black slave
masters they sold them around the world.

Not much different than todays tax system, which is turning out to be
debt-tax slavery. Government takes and doesn't provide.

You are voting for it....

In your case, it's a form of mental slavery. You're too stupid to
escape from the right-wing noise machine.

You are NOT voting! There IS a GOD!
