RATS!!! Due to the enormously hot weather and extremely high humidity,
the glue on the waterproof carpet glue isn't curing as planned.
especially due to the high humidity, it's just kinda sitting there. Oh
it's curing OK, but a lot slower than expected.

Heres the stuff we're using:

This is kind of a set back due to other projects we could be doing on
the boat if the carpet was solid.

Oh well....

What did you decide about the seat base. I'd think building one would be pretty simple, if you had
the time. There used to be van conversion shops around which sold table tops, etc, etc. Seems
something like that might make a nice base for the seat, with some reinforcing, and would have
rounded corners. Maybe marine plywood with a coat of polyurethane would work, with appropriate
bracing of course.

Sorry about the glue.

We're planning on building storage boxes for the seats and mounting
the seats on a swivel. we'll see how that goes for one, and if it
seems to be a good deal, then I'll get another swivel for the other
side. If not,t hen we can always bolt them solid to the box. My
carpenter buddy is really prone to heat exhaustion, so he's taking on
some indoor work for people at the moment. If it cools down a bit like
it did today, we'll be back at making the boxes. I already picked up a
low-profile cooler like they have in the pic.
And will probably build out of outdoor plywood (DryPly) and carpet
over....

It'll come together....eventually

Hopefully We can get the interior finished.I think we're supposed to
have cooler weather for the rest of the week... At this venture low
humidity is what I need.

We finally, yesterday, had a thunderstorm come through that came over our place. Got more than an
inch of rain and today is quite nice. Of course this weather isn't coming your way.

Today I get to sit in the dentist's chair for another root canal. Lots of shots in the roof of my
mouth. Gotta love it, especially the shot between the top teeth and the top lip. That's just a great
place to have a needle stuck in your body.

Gettin' old is such a joy.
