Default Nile sailing

Hi Hoges,
I was a passenger on a motor yacht from Cairo to just north of Aswan,
about ten years ago. The political scene has changed a lot, since then.
It was a great scenic trip, and yes you do see lots of arab sailboats on
the way. I imagine the winds would be tricky in the narrow confines of
the Nile, but certainly doable. However, in light of the political

situation in
Egypt, I would be afraid to risk my life on such a venture.
There are too many crazies over there who would like to target Americans,
and a lone yacht would be a tempting target for them. I think it is even
risky to take a guided tour down the Nile, although there have not been

any
attacks on tourists lately. Why tempt fate?

Good point. I'd be a little close to most banks for comfort. Still, it can
go in the "ron" file and I might do it lateron.
