Yes, a small inverter works very well for occasional use of power
tools. *I believe he wants it for an off grid cabin in Wyoming so he
could run the inverter from a car/truck battery as long as usage is
light or leaves the engine running while he works. *

Nothing like having your cake and eating it too!
