Israel Bissell springs to mind but Longfellow had trouble making him
sound heroic.
The reality is most of this Paul Revere story was made up in a poem.

Longfellow wrote a poem. It was not a historical account of what
happened.
Do you know that the historians are of the opinion that it was Paul
Revere swinging the lanterns in the steeple of the old north church.
Which has what do with Palin's inane comments. She's your favorite,
