Some of that is just a TV drama.
Most of the politicians on both sides are simply too boring for TV and
not particularly radical in any way.

C-Span is not much different than rec.boats. Democrats and Republicans saying the same thing over
and over again.

That's just stupid. C-SPAN presents all manner of congressional
coverage, including very important hearings.
