these came from)

One of my favorites was an oldie from the 60s. An American pilot was
on final approach into Frankfort Germany and asked a question that got
a snotty response from the controller
"haven't you ever been to Frankfort before"
The pilot calmly answered
"I was here a number of times about 20 years ago, we dropped some
stuff off but we didn't land"

Sounds like a German alright.
