It is amazing that someone would ever do that, but yes, Harry did say
his wife was a medical doctor who was working on her PhD, and he was
joking that all of his friends were going to call her Dr. Dr.

His wife is not a MD, but is a social worker. So it is anyone's guess
why Harry would make up this lie, why he thought anyone would believe
him, or why he is ashamed of his wife, but you have to ask him that
question.
