Does not mater at this point. Washington DC is bankrupt. I would say
Rep+Dem begot Americans a whole lot of debt and despair.

Congress and the senate need to come out with a balanced budget law.
Government can no longer overspend. Slam the system into a balanced
budget right now.

now all you gotta do is tell me how you'd balance the budget. and
cutting spaceflights to pluto as the ONLY method doesnt count

Simple, you let the checks bounce and cut the waste until the the checks
stop bouncing.

How I would rationally do it is sit down with 3000 sheets of paper, each
one outlines what a department does, what it costs, where the money goes
and tangible results to "America". If I put an X on it, it is
terminated immediately. Or I might reduce its spending to be in line
with value. No $1000 hammers.

At say 1 minute per sheet, might take 2 weeks with breaks. Bet I could
easily come up with $1.6 trillion in waste and excess. Want those
military ones first, big cuts a coming. 11 carriers, when 5 will do,
old ones get retired and not replaced. Want to bomb some camels
7x24x365 the Saudi can pay the bills.

Probably get a big surplus actually. Want that presidential staff
budget too. Lots of pork, Ms Obama can pay for her own hairdo.

And if some idiot democrat says that is in my state I would say to him,
yep, time to give the grand kids a chance. Your debt greed today is
un-palatable pure selfishness. Cut...gone.

I would implode the debt as fast as it grew.
