I see a dramatic increase in the sales of geiger counters.


I dug mine out after the rain the other day and I got a few counts but
since I didn't establish a baseline a month ago, I am not sure this is
worse that the normal background.
It also has not been recalibrated since the Kennedy administration so
I doubt any reading this low is really significant anyway.
If I was in Tokyo this might be useful but we are talking about minute
changes here.



I checked a couple of sites that sell counters, just for grins. Pretty
much sold out. There are some Russian "cold war vintage" models
available, though. :)
