There are several good forums for discussing boating issues and just
plain chewing the rag on boating/fishing, et cetera. Rec.Boats isn't
one
of them. There's also a Mako boats board on which a lot of members do
extensive rebuilding and repairs, and some of those might apply to your
situation. Transom rebuilding technique is a common repair subject on
the better discussion boards.

The gun boys don't like posters who don't march in lockstep with them.
They're very much like the GOP these days.

That seems to be a problem with every newsgroup you join.
