Hey Skippy,

Your writing talent needs improvement. You just don't sound nautical
enough.
I have taken the liberty of doing a rewrite of your lubberly prose. My
improvements will be delineated using asterisk (*word or phrase*)

Alas, the world is full of editors----most of whom have little or no
ability to write their own material. Of course, you can make a living
as an editor---but you are unlikely to impress anyone by 'improving'
usenet messages. It's about as useful as trying to correct Clive
Cussler's diction at a cocktail party. It may make you feel good,
but he's still going to be the center of attention.

Hell's bells, lad! I was just trying to keep his audience from thinking they
were reading a Boy Scout instead of a sailor. Sailors need to use colorful
nautical language because audiences expect it.
