She doesn't respond to rational comments, at least not in a way that she
appears to understand what the conversations are about.

With my dog, we ground him when he's bad... He is sent to the blanket
and we all make a point of walking by and telling him he was a bad boy
and then we play and fool around in front of him for a couple minutes
and don't let him join in.. We should all just play in front of her, and
not let her join in...
