Looks like GE, yep General Electric of USA designed the Japanese reactor
that is now melting down big time. So how many GE style reactors in the
USA?

Given the Japanese reactor is leak prone, see its 2007 event, how many
in the USA leak? Sure would not want to boat downsream or eat fish from
the downsteam water....

The world needs to shut all this type of design down. No belly aching,
no procrastination, no cash envelopes, just shut them all down if they
use this poor design.

You seem totally confused, again.... maybe it is because you didn't
know there is no "GE (only)" nuclear, anymore.....

Welcome to the brave new world of global mergers..... how do you
feel, now that you know the Japanese are building US reactors?

GE design --- no one builds all of their own stuff any more.

So did I ticle a nerve? GE employee perhaps?

Hey, I think nuclear is our future but our oliticial abillities are far
too corrupt to manage it. These ractors should ahve been upgraded 20
years ago....not run until they drop mentality. I don't really even see
it as GE's fault, but GE did make them. Engineers at the time that
thought they should have a better dsign soon found unemployment.

Hey, the reactors work well until something goes wrong.

But things like serice ability, routine testing, moderation of the
reaction and safety all too back seat to efficiency and cost.
Politicians assured that.

Trouble is politicians are corrupt beasts, not rational and low logic
sociaopath types. If any had the balls, we would have zero debt,
reactors would be routinely upgraded and replaced or shut down. No
compromises with cash envelops and politcial donations.

Lets put it this way, I would not be investing into corrupt utility
companies that own these dinasuars. In computer terms, you would be
running a 110 baud modem when they were designed. And the industry
hasn't upgraded them.
