Drones might be good to spot, but an Apache 30mm rounds might be cheaper
than missiles.

If you are involving a pilot, an A10 is probably a better choice. Same
gun but you also have the capability for a lot of wing mounted
ordinance and you have a lot of range. They can also operate out of
primitive air fields like you might have in Africa or south Asia.
We have a buttload of them sitting out in the desert.

I believe they can do a carrier too. They can all practice together.
Move the practice to the coast of Somalia. Minimizes costs and
maximizes the efforts.

It does violate the rule of big government though. That is, find new
more creative ways to waste taxpayers dollars so to ask for more.
